If we’re gonna paint a fence, we prime it with a wood primer first, and then we apply the paint of their choosing, which would also be a satin finish. But if they want to improve your curb appeal and your longevity, our first recommendation is going to be using a solid stain because it’s going to hold up longer and soak into the wood instead of coat the wood.
Many homeowners are choosing solid colors for their fences. In our experience, these colors make the entire yard pop! We can paint wood, metal, or composite, and we can do any style, including privacy, picket, split-rail, shadowbox, and more!
To prep a fence for painting, we start with pressure washing, covering up any bushes, shrubbery, and sweeping off and covering up any area that’s not going to get sprayed. If it’s close to the house, we’ll cover that side of the house up. Basically, we mask off everything that doesn’t need to be sprayed. After that, we just spray the fence on both sides and top.
We offer both painting and staining, depending on whatever is best for the situation. Both options, when done properly, should last around 10 years.
