Ceiling Repair

Ceiling stains are usually caused by water damage or cigarette smoke.

With over 22 years in the game, we don’t mess around when it comes to ceiling repairs. Whether it’s a small water stain or a full-blown sagging mess, we’ve seen—and fixed—it all.

We’ll cut out any loose material, replace damaged drywall, skim it so it blends in, and finish it clean and smooth. You’ll barely know we were there—until you look up and see perfection.

The Repair Process
Our repair process is slightly different, depending on the severity of the problem. If the ceiling is still hard to the touch once it’s dry, we prime it and paint it. If it’s soft, where we can put pressure on the sheetrock and cause an indention, we cut it out and replace it.
  • Water stains & leaks – If it’s dry and firm, we prime and paint. If it’s softened or sagging, we cut it out and replace that section with fresh drywall.
  • Cracked, dented, or popped seams – We patch ’em up, tape, mud, sand—just like we do with walls.
  • Tasteful texture matching – Want smooth ceilings or something like knockdown or orange-peel to blend in seamlessly? You got it.

If it is just a single room, we can be done in as little as 2 days. A whole house can take a week to fix multiple, large areas of damage.

How to Tell if There’s Mold

There usually isn’t mold behind the sheetrock if it’s a new stain. If it’s going to be in anything, it’s going to be in the insulation.

Here’s a general rule to abide by: If the surface of the sheetrock Is black, then there’s like a 99% chance that the mold is behind the sheetrock and in the insulation. If it’s yellow or brown, most of the time there is no mold behind the sheetrock.
