Additionally, our process is very thorough. We check the walls for any imperfections, and we’ll do a quick drywall touch up and then we’ll check the trim for any cracks or dents in it and try to fill that in for them as well. Then, we cover all surfaces that aren’t being painted (which would be floors, and furniture) and then we apply two coats. If we’re doing ceilings, we paint the ceilings first, followed by trim, ending with walls. Two coats on the walls, two coats on the trim, two coats on the ceilings, and that’s on a repaint.
On a new construction, it’s essentially the same process. We prep everything, putty and caulk as needed, prime it, finish the ceilings, spray the trim, and then paint all the walls by hand.
It can take from one day to two weeks depending on the size of the house and the color options. We do thousand square foot houses that are all white—white ceilings, white walls with semi gloss trim—in one day. However, jobs are rarely that simple.
